Synopsis:
A young man(David) on college break, rents a room in a New Jersey suburb (from his friend Letty's boy friend John) to work on a project building a device which can overwrite a human conscienceness using sound waves. Letty has a friend, Jeane, who she introduces to Dave and she's really fascinated by his research wanting to know more about it and about him. Over the weeks she spends a lot of time in Daves room and they become more than close. When they met he tested the device on her without her knowledge but then confesses it because he was beginning to like her much more than a little. Everything seemed ok at first until he realizes she becomes someone else without warning which leads to very deadly consequences.
The device is embedded inside a pair of headphones which is why it was so easy to get her to put them on. She was unresponsive for about 15 minutes but her eyes were wide open while the program ran through its first routine. Dave tried to speak to her but she went unconscious for about 2 hours afterwards. He knew he did something very wrong and never exposed her to the device again but to his horror he realized she had been using the device on her own without his knowledge. It created a kind of addiction to its effects and she quickly got hook.

David: renterSCENE 3, ACT 1 Dave wakes up and goes downstairs to take a shower. Dave is coming from the bathroom and Jeane is standing motionless in the middle of the room seemingly fixated by something on the blank TV screen; no lights, no sound, just standing there.
Dave: Jeane?... Je.. Jeane! Hay baby why're you standing here looking at nothing.
Then he touches her shoulder.
Dave: Are you upset with me about something? I'll gladly make it up t..
Jeane: Touch me again and I'll cut your fuck'in throa....without warning Jean falls into his arms. Afraid, Dave screams out
Dave: LETTY..... LETTYYYYY!! Jeane... say something... LETTY.
Letty enters the room
Letty: What the F... what happen David
Dave: I don't know
Letty: Stop lying, I know you've been using that thing on her...
Dave: What are you t..
Letty: ...she told me all about it, get your hands off.
Dave: Look Letty, I can explain, it's not all on me, she asked for it, when I said no she turned it on when I'd leave the room. That thing is like a drug and I can't keep her away from it.
Letty: THEN BREAK THE DAMN THING.
Dave: Let's get her up stairs
Letty: you mean to a hospital
Dave: and what are they going to do Letty, I invented the thing and I can bring her back but we have to hurry. Help me get her up stairsLetty goes silent but you can see the fear and anger in her toward David as they take Jeane to the bedroom. David thinks to himself: If she tells any body I could go to jail, get kick out of school, and my research.
Dave: Letty, you can't tell anybody about this
Letty: Why Not! This shit is all your fault
Dave: They'll lock her away in a nut house and put me in jail now how is that going to help Jeane. I told you I can fix this, I just need a couple of days.
Letty: Are you crazy.
Dave: You've known me all my life, have I every lied to you?
Letty: She needs a doctor David
Dave: She's going to be alright Letty. Please trust me. I'm not lying to you. I can fix this. I swear I can fix this.CONTINUED........
